About the Band
Whiskey Myers have experienced considerable success since beginning to play from flatbed trailers in small East Texas towns. Since their beginnings they’ve played Bonnaroo and opened for The Rolling Stones; were chosen to soundtrack Paramount Network’s Kevin Costner show Yellowstone; sold out venues both big and small every time they perform; as well as performing at several different festivals around Texas.
But the band remains strong through their connection to their audience. Their songs feature emotive, soulful lyrics that strike an immediate chord; while live performances provide an unforgettable rock & roll experience.
Fronted by Cody Cannon on vocals and acoustic guitar, guitarist Cody Tate, bassist Gary Brown, drummer Jeff Hogg and percussionist Tony Kent, this Southern rock/country hybrid band has earned comparisons to Allman Brothers Band and Lynyrd Skynyrd; yet their music appeals to an equally wide range of audiences from Texas country fans to those appreciating gritty rootsy sounds of ’70s classic rock.
Tornillo
Since they began touring nearly continuously since forming 10 years ago, this band has amassed an enthusiastic following by performing everywhere from Red Rocks to Bonnaroo and selling over 355 thousand albums, amassing 134 million streams along the way – but their hallmark characteristic remains authenticity.
Tornillo offers a unique take on music in an industry often plagued with cliches and repetitiveness. His uniquely expressive approach and heartfelt lyrics cover everything from love and heartbreak to social injustice and political commentary – truly refreshing in an industry with too much repetition and stagnation.

Whiskey Myers are an unusual breed of Southern rock band: one who can successfully combine classic acts (Lynyrd Skynyrd and Allman Brothers) with contemporary sounds (modern rock/country), such as those found on Early Morning Shakes – their third album released under this moniker – all to outstanding results.
After their sophomore album, Firewater, Texas-based band Infamous Ragamuffin joined producer Dave Cobb to craft an energetic record that showcases both Sturgill Simpson’s High Top Mountain and Jason Isbell’s Southeastern songs by giving each one its own individual flavor. Together these tracks create an album full of energy.
From the tender “Shelter from the Rain” to their winning rabble-rousing cover of Outlaw Country outlaw David Allan Coe’s “Need a Little Time Off for Bad Behavior,” this album showcases their talents to perfection. Mud
Though they had lost one of their founding members (and a beloved drummer), Gray, three band members felt confident to continue using the Mud name with family permission from Gray’s estate and friends for continuation of performance under this moniker.
