The Lowdown: Fort Greene Bar hosts a 1st Monday Doggie Party. The event features an all-night happy hour with drink specials, a stand of Ivan’s All Natural Doggie Delights and more. Bring your furry friend to sip and chill on the patio.

The Lowdown: Sie FilmCenter presents GoodCinema. The event features a screening of the film The House I Live In. The film looks at the war on drugs and how it impacts our society with discrimination, politics and economic problems. After the screening, you can participate in a discussion with Kayvan Khalatbari, Elisabeth Epps, Cody Boden and Art Way to find solutions to the problems presented.

Sacred Lunar Surrender

The Lowdown: Denver Museum of Nature & Science present a Sci-Fi Film Series. The series progresses with a screening of The Shape of Water. The film follows the wild journey of Elisa — a mute cleaning lady for a government-run laboratory who discovers a top secret project, a magical water creature. The two become an unlikely pair and fight for the creature’s freedom.

The Lowdown: Fort Greene Bar presents 808 Day. The event features a tribute to the Roland TR-808. You can party all night to beats from DJ A-L and celebrate the Roland TR-808 in all its drum machine glory.

Free Concert Series

The Lowdown: Space Gallery presents Hard Lines. The exhibition features a fresh look at geometrical dimensions that are taken from the Cubist movement. The exhibition is comprised of works from artists Howard Hesh, Jodie Roth Cooper, Ramon Bonilla and Frank Martinez, all giving a different perspective.

The Lowdown: Sie FilmCenter presents The Magic Music Movie. You can see a screening of the film that follows the journey of Magic Music, a Boulder-based band that grew in Colorado as a favorite but sadly after fizzling out, broke up.

The Lowdown: Alamo Drafthouse Denver hosts a viewing of  A Fistful of Dollars as a part of The Good The Bad and The Ugly series. The Clint Eastwood film features a story about the town of San Miguel and the problems that plague its citizens.

The Lowdown: If you love antiques you need to attend the Antique Row Summer Block Party. The event features two days of shopping for antiques, restaurants to eat from, a car show and more. You can bop to music from a live rockabilly band and take in the summer warmth.

Rainbow Alley

The Lowdown: Laugh and relate to hilariously embarrassing stories at Mortified Live. The event features Adam Cayton-Holland and Christie Buchele sharing their childhood stories, poems and more in front of an audience to strangers. With each story comes a little bit of nostalgia and a reminder that we all were awkward at one point in time.

Live at the Vineyard

The Lowdown: Take a dip to cool off from the summer heat during the 303 Magazine Pool Party Series. The series continues this Sunday with a party on the pool terrace of Halycon. You can sip on cocktails, nibble on bites and jam out to music from DJ J|ADORE, DJ Walt White and other local DJs. Make sure to wear a sizzling suit to party it out.
