HARD Day of the Dead said goodbye in 2015, however it s back this season with a vigor and an enticing, but true strange, lineup. Long-time lovers of HARD are certain to go nuts over the headliners, but will likely scratch their heads.

This year’s festival will feature two stages during the occasion. On the primary stage will be some significant headliners: Justice (Live), Die Antwoord, Knife Party, along with Cashmere Cat. Combining them will be Jack Beats, Fuego, DNMO, along with Thee Mike B.

Justice revealed that Day Of the Dead will probably be the show they intend to play their current Woman Worldwide creation; fitting, considering they played the very first Day of The Dead six decades past.

The remaining part of the lineup leans more heavily toward techno than home, a new leadership for HARD if there actually was one.  Lee Foss b2b Felix da Housecat, Shiba San, Rodriguez Jr. (Live), J. Phlip, OMNOM, Rybo b2b Lukelski, Dateless, Playero, along with Masha will round Stage 2 of this festival.

The lineup will get stranger when you think about how all of the headliners have been round the Los Angeles area within the past calendar year. Knife Party played Academy at July, Cashmere Cat played Air+Style at March, Justice played HARD Summer and Coachella at 2017, and you will catch Shiba San or Jack Beats at any number of events at the LA area.

While it so exciting to see these headliners it’s different than the completely on-brand lineup of HARD Summer this season. Perhaps they re trying to rebrand their Halloween festival to vie against Escape: Psycho Circus, that is also run by Insomniac Events. But it may prove difficult to lure HARD lovers to lose the coin on this one.
