This morning, deadmau5 surprised the world with the launch of a new EP, mau5ville: Level two.

Similar to July’s mau5ville: Level 1, Zimmerman leads off the EP with a high profile collaboration. The opening course sees Zimmerman collaborate using the Canadian synth-pop star Lights for the glitched-out, bassy monitor “Drama Free. ” Lights’ punching delivery and melodious vocals combined with deadmau5’s ethereal keys and a bass that is glitchy make this trail yet another collaboration s arsenal.

Fans of the timeless noise will find solace from the monitor “GG”. Minimal sound fans of deadmau5 enjoy, the touch is on full display from the tune.

The black sheep of the group is Zimmerman’s cooperation with Mr. Bill, “10.8. ” The opening moments of the course will be reminiscent of IDM while a twinkling interlude leads listeners. The track ends using a cataclysm of synth and drums after weaving through genres.

This EP comes as a welcome surprise for fans of the dance music legend, as lately, deadmau5 was operating towards enhancing his mental health and taking away time from social media.
