The 3 stars couldn’t have clicked collectively better than that.

Dutch singer/songwriter MØ only released her expected sophomore album Forever Neverland.  Within the endeavor’s 14-track extended tracklist with just a handful of features,”Mercy” featuring producers What So Not and Two Feet truly shines. 

In the past several years, Karen Marie Ørsted has made a name for himself as a standout pop action with immense electronic crossover possible. She proved that with collaborations like”After Coachella” with manufacturer Cashmere Cat,”Don’t Leave” together using duo Snakehips, and needless to say, her many releases with Diplo and Major Lazer. Together with”Mercy,” nevertheless, she brought two experienced electronic musicians into her own world and the result is simply gorgeous. 

“Mercy” starts off as the ideal ballad, with all M&Odip; singing on a lost love over lush chords. Shortly after the power dissipates in the chorus, where layers of vocal harmonies stacked on top of one  another. Things just get better as the song progresses with epic drum hits. 2 Feet’s electric guitar riffs add depth and air that fills up the space, making up for a very hot and anthemic cut. 

On the Subject of”Mercy,” What So Not said:

I was always very intimidated by this song… I had a profound relation to the emotion & messaging, but the hooks & chorus proved so big, I was not sure I prepared was for a record like that with my project. I was thankful to have discovered home working on this with Mø to her record.

The demonstration has been pictured on my first visit to Nicaragua with my amazing friends James Earl, Georgia ku, James Flannigan & shortly after dived in using MØ functioning via a multitude of ideas & instructions.

We ended up settling on this gorgeous reductive model with the support of Two Feet, focusing on the raw power of this vocal & very little production around it.

I’m ecstatic to get this one out. Can not wait to start playing it everywhere.
