Ultra Music Festival Makes Announcement As New Venue Approved By Miami City Council

Before Now, the Miami City Council Accepted with a 4-1 vote Ultra Music Festival’s Proposition to move to Virginia Key for 2019. Commissioner Joe Carollo almost didn’t give them the YES vote, but following a lengthy speech throughout the process, finally conceded.

The festival said in a declaration, “We are excited to announce that the City of Miami has agreed to relocate Ultra Music Festival to the gorgeous and historical Virginia Key. The new place will allow the festival to evolve into its new house, ultimately creating a more enjoyable experience for all festival attendees.

The contract agreed upon from the festival and City Council is for two years.

At its place, Ultra is going to be permitted to run until 2am and is going to have place space and an higher capacity. Stages will be built at either the Historic Virginia Key Beach Park and Miami Marine Stadium Flex Park. During today’s proceedings, Ultra Music Festival manufacturing director Ray Steinman shared that, at most, four stages will be built at the Marine Stadium site. The number of stages possible at Virginia Key Beach Park was not specified.
