Trei was a mainstay using Viper Recordings since 2013 nevertheless, it’s been a few years since he published solo tracks with them, preferring to lend his new emotive yet hard-hitting DnB into compilations and collabs. Last month he’d launch some solo jams on Viper, however, in the kind of “Fools Rush” along with “The Bends. ” It doesn’t hurt he has two new tracks out about the Viper 2019 Annual: a compilation using Ekko & Sidetrack known as “Luddites” along with his own solo track known as “Out There. ”
Suffice it to say for this guest combination he’s bestowed on Your EDM, Trei could have laid down his own recent Viper paths back and everyone would have been happy. That is not the case yet, and actually this modest 20-minute mix includes 15 tracks of varying genres and intensities. He’s coated all the terrific music that’s come out or will be coming out that season, like his own tracks but also featuring Insomniax’s banger “Foghorn,” Crissy Criss’s “Shockwave” together with Malux along with Erb ‘n’ Dub along with Rido’s “Blueprint” together with Joe Ford. There’s some fun wild cards like a track by Vowel on Bad Taste, multiple Prototypes monitors and a few seemingly arbitrary monitors in Dub Elements. It’s power-packed little mixture full of surprises and emotional ups and downs.
We obtained ’t say much more other than this mixture is a need to listen to listen to all the bangers that are up and out in another month or so. It’s a lesson about how to put all these seemingly opposed tracks together in a subgenre mashup combination that defies gravity.
All Trei’s newest monitors on Viper and differently are on his Beatport page and clips are available on Soundcloud or complete escapes on Spotify. Don’t forget to pick up the Viper Annual as well, out now.
