Electric Beethoven Releases ‘The Fifth’ Single Via Color Red

Reed Mathis and Electric Beethoven Come back with a Brand New single. Reed Mathis, Todd Stoops, Clay Welch along with Josh Raymer accommodated a Part of Ludwig van Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony for the single “The Fifth,” out today on Color Red.

“Electric Beethoven is just four close friends who like to improvise from the groove, and revel in occupying the songwriting of Beethoven,” said Mathis. “Our goal is to call back into Earth the ghosts that lie dormant in those tunes. Kinda sounds like MMW, however less avant & with prettier melodies…. .Closer to instrumental Beastie Boys. This tune ‘The Fifth’ turned out as I’d expected ……funky, darkened, stoney, and you wanna begin it over every single time you reach the end. ”

Reed produced the single, that was listed by Mike Tallman at Color Red Studios at Denver. Jeff Franca combined the track. “The Fifth” is the very first of a new collection of Beethoven’s biggest hits that Electric Beethoven listed in Denver last autumn. A record is expected. ” Listen to Electric Beethoven’s “The Fifth” below:

Here’s more about the track:

What would happen if Beethoven had been to introduce lead sheets into a all-star lineup of the heaviest hitters on today’s jam scene? Reed Mathis simplifies the task in his approach to tackling Beethoven’s 5th Symphony aptly titled “The Fifth. ” Dubby stripes pave how the organ fills and improvisation. The beauty in Mathis’ interpretation lies in either textural and plasma sense of moving components –most of musicians are free to manage their function without ever “soloing” or blandly noodling over the rhythm department. Tension and release is epitomized in a breakdown before transitioning straight back into the iconic “A” section that simmers down with the aim to produce the audience conducive with a brand new sonic adventure unlike anything else. “Fate knocking at your door”….that’s the iconic opening notes of Beethoven’s 5th when they were heard 200 years 31, were described. No one could have known that fate could lead to the irresistible groove of Electric Beethoven.

Electric Beethoven will go back to the road.
