On Wednesday, Steve Kimock led the second of three Steve Kimock & Friends concerts at Sweetwater Music Hall in Mill Valley, California. The guitarist’s group for the run includes drummer John Kimock, keyboardist Jeff Chimenti along with bassist Reed Mathis. Multi-instrumentalist Leslie Mendelson sat-in for most of the evening’s instant set.

Night ’s original set was from the Steve Kimock Band times filled with decades-old compositions. Steve, John, Jeff and Reed opened using a Cole’s Law” they worked into a standout “Tangled Hangers. ” The older school start into the night continued with “Ice Cream” along with also a “Five B4 Funk” place closer. After beginning the group using “High & Lonesome,” Leslie Mendelson appeared first Mendelson and Chimenti equally played secrets for “Sagan,” that the 2017 only from Steve’s KIMOCK project with Leslie, John and Bobby Vega.

Next, Leslie piled to a guitar and also took center stage to direct a cover of Charles Johnson’s “My Brothers & Sisters. ” Steve Kimock needed a proud moment in acting “Invocation Ipersonally, ” a song collect by John that was inspired by the record Streaming Wisdom by W.A. Mathieu. Steve told the crowd about the roots of this tune and was shining with pride. The concert ended with a set of covers as the quintet functioned through Thigpen, Banks and Marion’s “That’s What Love Will Make You Do” too as Daniel Lanois’ “The Maker. ” Watch the series below thanks to this venue:
