Umphrey’s McGee Debuts Pink Floyd Cover With Kanika Moore At Red Rocks

Umphrey’s McGee opened a three-night stand at Red Rocks Amphitheatre outside Denver on Friday night. Adhering to a support set by Spafford, UM took the stage at the majestic venue and delivered 2 collections, together with the second featuring their introduction cover of Pink Floyd’s “Have A Cigar” using Doom Flamingo vocalist Kanika Moore sitting-in.

“Roctopus” opened UM’s Red Rocks collection #5. ” One of just two tunes played from rsquo & last year;s pair of studio releases, “Seasons” arrived with another instrumental, “The Fussy Dutchman” tracking. The collection progressed with “Syncopated Strangers” & “Rocker Part two & ” accompanied by “Red Tape” finish the first half in Red Rocks.

“The Silent Type,” the song selected from there recent studio LPs, opened the second group. Setlist staple “Ringo&rdquocame forward of the pairing of “Cemetery Walk” & together “Cemetery Walk II. ” Bassist Ryan Stasik then welcomed his Doom Flamingo band mate Kanika Moore to join the band onstage to their first live performance of Pink Floyd’s “Have A Cigar. ” The setup then shut together “Draconian. ”

The encore was constructed of “Nemo” & with “In The Kitchen” performed inside. UM contributes to Red Rocks tonight, with Turkuaz set to start. A live stream is available through TourGigs.
