H.E.R. attracted a two-song medley reside from a socially distant studio session for this year’s Roots Picnic.

The Roots’ annual Roots Picnic went virtual this year, blowing off Saturday night (June 27) together with Michelle Obama encouraging audiences to take action and vote in this season ’s elections, and then launching into a collection of virtual music performances.

H.E.R. started off her position on the lineup with a strong, acoustic guitar-led “I Can’t Breathe,” that the moving new song she surfaced earlier in June motivated by current events and protests following George Floyd’therefore killing.

The Roots Picnic began streaming at 8 p.m. ET Saturday night and also had performances in the Roots, Roddy Ricch, Lil Baby, SZA, Kirk Franklin and more on the invoice.
