In an election crucial for the future of the United States, numerous A-list stars combined Rock the Vote’s Democracy Summer effort Thursday (June 18) using a two-hour virtual concert, inviting viewers to enroll to vote.

Katy Perry headlined the show, draped in stars and stripes as she sent a strong rendition of her uplifting brand new single, “Daisies,” along with her hits “Roar” along with “Chained to the Rhythm. ”

The event, co-hosted by actors Logan Browning along with Rosario Dawson, additionally featured remote performances by the Black Eyed Peas, Ne-Yo, Big Freedia, Lucy Hale, Amara La Negra, Saweetie, Sklyar Astin, Max, Leslie Grace, Dove Cameron, Sofia Carson, Rich Brian and Michael K. Williams.

Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ) and former Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Julian Castro also made appearances.

“I’m excited to become part of the kickoff into Democracy Summer 2020 with speakers, activists and so many amazing talents,” Perry previously stated in a report on her participation. “The young people of America are talking loud and clear about on the internet and the roads, and come November, it is going to be more important than ever to fight for justice and equality, and against systemic racism. ”
