Lenny Kravitz filmed a session for NPR Music’s Tiny Desk (Home) Concert video series in his home in the Bahamas. Kravitz was joined by longtime collaborator Craig Ross and novice Yianni Giannakopoulos for the performance.

The trio started with “Thinking Of You,” a tune Kravitz written in honor of his mother, actress Roxie Roker, following her death. Lenny originally released “Thinking Of You” on his 1998 studio album. He dedicated the operation to “those that are not able to be with their loved ones during this time of isolation and to those that are not able to be with their loved ones during their transitions such as George Floyd, whose final words were ‘momma, momma.’ ”

Lenny, Craig and Yianni continued the session with “What Did I Do With My Life? ” from Kravitz’s 2004 LP, Baptism. The trio — along with a drum machine and sequencer — closed out their set by performing “We Can Get It All Together,” a more recent tune originally released on 2018’s Raise Vibration.
