The Wood Brothers announced a Musical Squares livestream Unique. Musical Squares will air on Wednesday, September 23 at 8:30 p.m. ET/5:30 p.m. PT via LiveXLive as part of this Live From Out There string.
The webcast will indicate The Wood Brothers’ original extended livestream performance since the beginning of the pandemic. The 60+ second session will feature a career-spanning set from the Nashville-based trio in addition to tunes from their 2020 record, Kingdom In My Mind. In addition, Musical Squares will offer fans a glimpse within the inner-workings of Oliver Wood, Jano Rix along with Chris Wood’s creative process and also showcase their ldquo;ever current, wry sense of humor with landscapes like Oliver carrying a dip on his ‘rock celebrity ’ swimming pool along with Chris harvesting vegetables from his garden,” as per a statement.
“The pandemic has taken away something particular we’ve been performing for so long we almost took it for granted. Live music! ” bassist Chris Wood related. “Now we’re all trapped inside personal backgrounds, but we’re not going to let that stop us from making music and connecting to our fans. It’s brave new universe and that is our initial step beyond our comfort zone. ”
Some of the proceeds from Musical Squares will benefit Sweet Relief COVID-19 Fund, “that offers monetary assistance to livelihood musicians and music industry employees that are fighting to make ends meet. Funds raised will go towards health expenses, lodging, clothing, food and other vital household expenses for those affected. ” Those who purchase tickets will have the choice of observing the stream for two weeks after it airs.
