ZHU previewed his latest remix on his last night in Red Rocks, and luckily fans didn’t need to wait to get their hands around the complete release.

ZHU lately made a triumphant return to live shows with a marathon six-night run in Colorado’s Red Rocks Amphitheater. On the last night, he left audiences with something to ruminate on–an unreleased remix of Coldplay’s”Higher Power.”

Fortunately, fans haven’t waited for ZHU’s grand plan to perform. Once more, it’s become evident that the enigmatic producer includes a transformative touch, altering the tone and makeup of the Coldplay only in ways no one could’ve predicted.

ZHU tapers back the unbridled optimism forcing the original offering, instead bringing a tempered and melancholic cadence into your dining table. The ethereal sounds of some slightly filtered Chris Martin outspoken rebounding endlessly off the manufacturer’s trustworthy kick drum is sufficient to hypnotize listeners into a near-meditative state.

Towards the latter half of the course ZHU sprinkles in a few colour with 8-bit inspired synth arpeggios and vibrant sonic pads, then repurposing the euphoric instrumentation that characterized that the tune’s source material.

ZHU’s most current remix is the first release since dropping his current third full length album Dreamland back in April. Take a look at the track below.
