Tough news out of this Mastodon camp, as the group was forced to cancel their North American fall tour with Dinosaur Jr.. Because of a “critical scenario of a part of the Mastodon household. ” The trek was slated to kick off this Saturday, September 1st, in Edmonton, Canada.

Mastodon made the statement today on Facebook using the next message:

Mastodon regrets to inform fans that due to a critical situation of a part of the Mastodon household, their forthcoming tour with Dinosaur Jr. is going to be canceled. Tickets and VIP updates will be refunded at point of order.

Mastodon would like to extend their sincerest thanks for their loyal fans in addition to the lovers of Dinosaur Jr. because of their understanding and support at this moment. The group expects to make these shows up in a time that is future, but now, no strategies for rescheduling have already been put.

We interviewed Mastodon drummer Brann Dailor, and he informed us that he was “stoked” about traveling with Dinosaur Jr., calling frontman J. Mascis that a “definite visionary. ” The tour dates that were changed are given below.
