House duo The Him has been in the past several decades on the move. Their blend of dance and nu disco fused using a vibe has captivated audiences across the EDM globe since they came onto the scene.
Their energy gets spread virally through Spotify & Soundcloud, and gotten out their sound to the globe immediately. They collaborated with artists like Sam Feldt and are touring playing along with the greatest names in dance music.
The Him recently released a tune called “Nothing On Us. ” We talked about the track, their career with them, and that which led them into this second in the next interview:
EDM.com: Hello, The Him! Thanks for taking the time to talk to us. The way ’s your summer going so far?
The Him: It’s moving wonderful. We played some festivals like Tomorrowland, Sziget Festival along with Lollapalooza. Our brand new release, “Nothing On Us,” is outside, and we started our planet tour in Asia. Don’t even have any fantasies!
EDM.com: Great! As stated earlier, “Nothing On Us” just came out on Spinnin’ Records. Could you tell us a bit on your tune?
The Him: Yeah, of course! We wrote this song with three of our favorite authors in Los Angeles earlier this season and it’s about being completely amazing together We needed to make something which had a bit of our previous sound along with something new, so hopefully you can hear that everything in there.
EDM.com: How would you describe your sound to a person that hasn’t heard your music?
The Him: We come in a home and techno heritage so that it comes with a digital but still texture to it. We love great tunes so it’s usually a vocal with a big, drop that is euphoric.
EDM.com: How gets the crowd reacted to a new the trail live?
The HimWe played for the first time live at Lollapalooza and the crowd went nuts. You know for sure a great job has been done by you, if you have the confirmation.
EDM.com: You have an extensive touring history! What are some of the most crazy things you’t seen round the world on your adventures?
The Him: We once played a festival in South America and from nowhere it started pouring rain, like mad. The stage wasn’t so they got six guys that held it before the rain ceased and attracted a tarp really built for that. Everyone was soaking wet (including us) but we had a blast!
EDM.com: How did you wind up getting musicians? Was music your passion, or were you interested in different styles of music?
The Him: We have a techno history, and that is how we met. We love that scene but we desired to do something else. After several months talking and producing from the studio we started making and remixing bootlegs, and following a year we left our music that was original.
EDM.com: What are your plans for the future? Do you have?
