Tom Petty’s ‘The Best Of Everything’ Includes 2 Previously Unreleased Tracks

A new pair entitled The Best Of Everything collects the late Tom Petty’s hits with The Heartbreakers, his solo work and Mudcrutch. The compilation, which is due on November 16 during Geffen Records/UMe, includes two previously unreleased tracks one of which was shared now.

The previously unreleased tracks on The Best Of Everything really are another version of the title track and “the poignant and autobiographical” tune “For Real. ” Petty & The Heartbreakers listed “The Best Of Everything” for 1985’s Southern Accents. The alternative version brings a second verse that is never-heard . Both 2-CD and digital versions will be published on November 16th with vinyl versions anticipated on December 7. Journalist/filmmaker Cameron Crowe composed an article on Tom Petty, who passed away just over one year ago, for The Best Of Everything. All 38 monitors are re-mastered out of “ pristine transfers of their first studio multi-track masters to your compilation. ” Listen to “The Best Of Everything (Alternate Version)”:
