Halestorm, In This Moment, and New Years Day rolled into Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City on Saturday (November 24th), bringing along with them a tour powered by three Controlling frontwomen.

The evening has been headlined by Halestorm, with Lzzy Hale and company playing a number of songs in their latest record, Vicious, including “Black Vultures”, “Do Not Disturb”, “Uncomfortable”, “Vicious”, and “Killing Ourselves to Live”. The band also broke out older favorites such as “Love Bites (So Do I)”, “Freak Like Me”, also “I Miss the Misery” off 2012’therefore The Strange Case Of …, also as “Amen” and “Dear Daughter” from 2015’s Into the Wild Life. Showed off her flexibility onto a cover of Dolly Parton’so “I Will Always Love You” and the acoustic ballad “The Silence”, revealing she can sing beautiful ballads as well as she manages ’ s scorchers that were hard-rocking to the ring.

In This Moment, as usual, attracted the theatrics, with Maria Brink’s stage existence and caked costumes. The band kicked off the set with 2012’so called “Blood” before launching into “River of Fire” in their latest record, 2017’s Ritual. Brink and firm covered Phil Collins’ “In the Air Tonight” and welcomed New Years Day singer Ash Costello for a duet on “Black Wedding”, among other highlights. They closed their set out with “Whore”, with Brink launching a “whore” dunce cap as she stood upon a large podium.

New Years Day have the night began, warming up lovers for an energetic night of music. Along with playing their own songs like “Kill or Be Killed”, “Epidemic” (through which singer Ash Costello led the crowd in a sing-along), also “Defame Me”, the band also broke a cover of their Pantera classic “Fucking Hostile”. They also played their song “Skeletons” off their record.

The tour is set to operate until December 16th at St. Petersburg, Florida.
