Dank Delivers a Genre-Bending Masterpiece with “New York Fuckin City”

“New York Fuckin City” samples the guitar riff out of Metallica’s”Seek and Destroy.”

New York City producer DANK frequently puts out music that can not be neatly folded into just one genre, and his most recent track is no exception. “New York Fuckin City” is out now for free download and it will give any DJ the final ingredient needed to make their place a spectacle to remember.

The arrangement hinges across a sample of the iconic guitar riff out of Metallica’s 1982 rate metal anthem”Seek and Destroy” – but then it moves in an unexpected way. If you call it hip-hop, Jerseystep, Brooklyn bounce or DANKstep, 1 thing is for certain: on the dance floor out, the audience will be losing it from the time the fall rings.

DANK (real name Brian Atwood) cut his teeth as a DJ in the Brooklyn rave scene, even holding events before going on to launch a tag called Funky Elements Records along with releasing music on Ultra Music. His official remixes for the likes of Shakira, Britney Speers and Yoko Ono have reached #1 on different Beatport and Billboard charts Through the Years.

In 2019, DANK appears to ramp things up further by providing a wealth of new music.
