Molly Tuttle Announces Debut Album ‘When You’re Ready’ & Shares Single

Molly Tuttle will Launch her highly-anticipated debut album When You’re Ready Through Compass Records on April 5. Even the singer-songwriter, who won the 2018 Americana Music Award-winner for Instrumentalist of the Year, shared with the LP’s direct sole “Take The Journey. ”

The 11-track effort was made by Ryan Hewitt (The Avett Brothers, The Lumineers) and attributes Jason Isbell on backing vocals along with an appearance from mandolinist Sierra Hull. Tuttle shared with the following with Rolling Stone Country, that opened the trail:

I sat with Sarah Siskind one day in East Nashville and we composed this tune. We wanted to write a tune with a modal texture, and as we were writing I began messing about with a hammer guitar role within a modal G pruning. For me this song is all about the Hero’s Journey, a narrative arc that we see in novels and movies. I think everyone has some sort of Hero’s Journey in their lives too. ”
