Avicii’s Grammy was presented at Grammisgalan at Stockholm.
This year at Sweden’s annual Grammisgalan (the equivalent of the Grammys held at the United States) that the academy granted late Swedish producer Avicii (real name Tim Bergling) having an honorary Grammy. Presenting this award for a person is a brand new act for the function.
Back in 2012 Bergling won a Grammy for his iconic trail,”Levels”. He was nominated at the states at 2013 and 2012. He also recently won a posthumous MTV EMA.
Klas Bergling, the producer’s dad, accepted the award. When speaking on his child, he had the following to say:
“Tim was a individual with humor and intense, humble and stubborn as sin. In regards to the music, he was to get to. It may be rough. He was a person who didn’t need to be in the center and that he had difficulty with the role that is official. He had a need to withdraw, find peace and find himself – something that lots of us likely understand.”
On April 20th, 2018, Bergling had been discovered dead at Muscat, Oman. The Swedish DJ/producer had suffered from depression and stress, inducing him to stop touring back in 2016. In a statement made by his surviving family members, it came to light that his cause of death was supposed to be suicide.
According to sources, Geffen Records has assisted Avicii’s surviving relatives catalogue 100 demos he left behind in various stages of completion. Most recently, a leak from a course with Mike Posner has been published .
