Restrictions in many states and locales across the country put in place due to the pandemic are being lifted including limited capacity at the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado. A venue spokesperson told Denver’s KDVR that the capacity limit at Red Rocks has now been raised to 6,300 with full capacity set to begin on June 21.
Additional tickets for a number of concerts originally expected to be held at Red Rocks with a capacity of 2,500 attendees have been put on sale. The 2,500-capacity limit was in place since the venue’s season began last month.
Yesterday, Widespread Panic announced a three-night run at the venue slated for June 25 – 27. Panic’s concerts will be among the first held at the venue’s full capacity of 9,545.
Venues in Colorado will no longer have to obtain state and local health department approval to host large events starting June 1 as per Colorado Governor Jared Polis. The governor announced the lack of restrictions last week.
