Grandoozy guide: Things to know before you go

Denver’s large three-day festival in Superfly — the people behind Bonnaroo and Outside Lands — is nearly here. Grandoozy will take over Overland Park Golf Course Sept. 14-16 with headliners Kendrick Lamar, Florence + The Machine along with Stevie Wonder — and there are a great deal of things that you will need to understand before you go. Here is down a few key info about bags, transport and times.

Where

Overland Park at Denver. The festival will have two entrances: West Florida Avenue between S. Platte River Drive and S. Santa Fe Driveand where West Jewell Avenue matches South Elati Street.

Bags

There is A clear-bag policy in place. If you attend sports at Denver, you ought to know how to deal with this. Bags inches — a more normal fanny pack size — are not permitted. Neither are hydration packs with a capacity larger than 2.5L/150 cubic inches.

Arts + Crafts, Flight School and Devour Denver are a part of Grandoozy’s “Experiences” since it is calling them. Both are The Backyard, a market that can exhibit eight “outside lifestyle manufacturers,” along with ’80s Ski Lodge that can host panels with professional athletes, environmental activists and much more.

The festival will also showcase a big portion of both Denver’s tradition: art.

Artists will be creating works which range from oversized pieces that can frame the stages to doing mural paintings. Participating artists include Hollis + Lana, Dinkc, Detour, Anthony Garcia and Extra Vitamins.

Watch out

One of the sections of a festival for example Grandoozy is your people-watching for the chance to spot some celebrities, but also for the festival style.

From the Ski Lodge on Sunday at two p.m., outdoors enthusiasts can check out “Off-Season: Talking to Great Athletes About Their Love of The Outdoors,” which will comprise Bobby Brown, Gretchen Bleiler, Jeremy Bloom and Julian Carr.

The Capital One “Destination Venture” dome will sponsor Denver’s favored “Top Chef” contestant Carrie Baird of Bar Dough cooking travel-inspired Fancy Toasts on Friday and Saturday from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m.  “Bachelor” Ben Higgins may also stop by the dome to perform several matches and take photographs with fans Friday from 7 to 7:45 p.m. and Saturday from 6:15 to 7p. m.

No word though ldquo fresh &;Bachelor” Colton Underwood & &; ldquo;Bachelorette” runner-up Blake Horstmann will cease by the festival, however they’re both Colorado boys.
