Lorde is currently calling out Kanye West and Kid Cudi for allegedly stealing her stage design throughout their Camp Flog Gnaw performance during the weekend. At a post on her social networking site, Lorde points out their use of a glass cage and compares it to an arrangement she utilized when performing Coachella 2017.
“I’m so proud of their work I do and it’if musicians feel motivated by it to the extent that they choose to attempt it onto 40,, s flattering. But don’t steal — not from anybody else or girls — maybe perhaps not in 2018 or actually,&rdquo.
It s accurate. It looks like Kids See Ghosts were immediately motivated by Lorde’s stage just like she says layout — and imitation is the best form of flattery ? Butthis may be more profound. The stage Lorde points to had been made by a designer by the name of ES Devlin, who has worked with Kanye West previously. However, based on reports, Devlin wasn’t involved with the making of this stage for Kids See Ghosts, to ensure ’s of a pity.
The owner of the more recent set made by Trask House, John McGuire, says Lorde “rsquo & wasn;t the first person to utilize a glass box, she won’t. She doesn’t possess her designer didn’t devise it. ” Also correct.
What do you believe? Can this stealing, or coincidence, or are Kanye and Cudi committing inspiration?
