Skrillex Lends Production Talent to Kelsey Lu for “Due West”

It’s been a busy week for Skrillex.

Singer/producer Kelsey Lu has recruited assistance from eight-time Grammy winning producer Skrillex for her monitor, “Due West”.

Despite Skrillex known for his black take on dubstep – and more recently, his futuristic bass – “Due West” is a laidback, feelgood monitor, featuring gentle keys and toned-down bass that helps Kelsey Lu’s enabling vocals carry flight. Her lyrics about risking it all and going west to California illustrate a dramatic tale of breaking loose and not looking back.

The legendary manufacturer has been hard at work since returning from his long hiatus. He lent his production skills to artists such as XXXtentacion, Lil Pump, Ty Dolla $ign, Mariah Carey, and Elohim.

Alongside his production job, Skrillex awakened with JOYRYDE for its thumping bass home monitor “AGEN WIDA” a month.

The future looks bright for lovers of the prior emo frontman, as he and many of his collaborators have been teasing a for his debut record, Recess. Alongside the possible new record, his official theme tune for the upcoming video game Kingdom Hearts III is set to release this winter.
