The DJ Mag Top 100 DJ poll stays as divisive as ever, even following this calendar year ’s new rankings. House and techno fans find little to enjoy the record, but DJ Mag includes a brand new list just for many fans. They’ve partnered with Beatport for a brand fresh top 100 record: the Alternative Top 100 DJs List.

The list favors house and techno, ranking 100 of the s largest DJs. Carl Cox, Claptone, Richie Hawtin, Adam Beyer, Marco Corola, Solomun, Paul Kalkbrenner, Nina Kraviz, Black Coffee and Steve Lawler round from the top 10. Die-hard genre fans could wonder artists such as FISHER, CamelPhat along with Billy Kenny emerging on the list, but it’s ’so pleasant to see a crossover with EDM-friendly house.

DJ Mag and Beatport coordinated the list by trend statistics and DJ Mag votes. The list hasn’t been formally declared by either entity, but comprised celebrity Josh Butler published concerning the list in his Instagram. If the list becomes a staple, it may very well replace the defunct Resident Advisor Top DJs poll. RA ran a similar poll for many years up until 2017 if the novel officially discontinued it.

Can this new record satiate home and techno fans? Probably not, but the olive branch has been offered. Check out the full Alternative Top 100 DJs List under.
