Crystal Skies are back with another album single, and this time, they’re uniting with Danny Olson and vocalist Jadelyn for “Like Water.” The cinematic original opens Jadelyn’s vocals, which are nothing short of ethereal—especially amid the electronic production that Crystal Skies layer beneath her topline. A slow build carried by orchestral elements eventually gives way to a euphoric breakdown that brings Crystal Skies’ signature style to the forefront.

The duo said of the single,

“We had a great time working on ‘Like Water’ with Danny Olson and Jadelyn. They had a really solid demo already so it was easy to find inspiration and ideas to work with! We were aiming for a result that combines our two styles, and I think we hit a good balance, showcasing Danny’s orchestral composition and Jadelyn’s amazing vocals and songwriting while also adding a powerful, energetic drop section. We’re glad to be able to share this track with everyone and are looking forward to the chance to play it out once more live events start to return!”

“Like Water” succeeds Crystal Skies‘ first album single, “Crazy While We’re Young,” produced alongside JT Roach. Out now via Insomniac’s Lost In Dreams, “Like Water” is the fledgling label’s fifth-ever release.
